Netflix has released a new trailer for the forthcoming season on X. The preview was accompanied with the foreboding tagline, “You may draw another card.” Season 3 of Alice in Borderland has been announced.” The show became the most-watched Japanese title on Netflix after the release of its second season. This statistic also included anime projects. It soon rose up the ranks, becoming one of the Top 10 series to watch in over 90 countries, including the No. 1 slot in 17 of them. It received 200 million viewing hours worldwide.
Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will resume their roles as Arisu and Usagi in Season 3. Fans will see how the characters have matured in the ever-dangerous Borderland setting. Shinsuke Sato, the series’ director, is also set to return. The series is based on Haro Aso’s manga of the same name, which follows Arisu as he is taken to a parallel universe and must play and win games to survive. The last season concluded on a cliffhanger featuring a Joke card. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the third season.
